Measures Taken to Treat Wounded Soldiers
On August 12, 1950, when the Fatherland Liberation War was at its height, the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung called a deputy premier of the Cabinet and stressed the need to treat the wounded soldiers well.
He said as follows:
The Personnel Bureau of the Cabinet and the Ministry of Public Health should replenish hospitals with doctors and nurses in a responsible manner, and a measure should be taken to train doctors and nurses in large numbers. For the present, it is advisable for all hospitals to regularly organize technical study sessions for doctors and nurses and direct great efforts to raising their qualifications and improving the efficiency of their treatment. Material conditions needed for the treatment of wounded soldiers should be fully provided. And it is also needed to provide the hospitals for wounded soldiers with enough transport means, medical appliances and medicines.
As a result, an order of the Military Commission on the provision for the medical treatment of wounded soldiers was issued on August 14, 1950, and positive measures were taken for their treatment.
