Priority of Priorities

One day in December 1976, President Kim Il Sung, while acquainting himself with the situation in the field of public health, learned about a serious fact.

The fact was about officials failing to supply raw materials fully to the pharmaceutical and medical appliances industries, claiming that there were many more important and special sectors.

Saying that the public health sector is the most important and special as it is related to the health and lives of the people and so it is the priority of priorities, he stressed that it should always be treated as the top priority to supply raw and other materials and equipment to the public health sector which deals with the lives of the people.

This was the iron rule he always adhered to in the whole period of his revolutionary leadership.
