Blessed Triplets

In July 1947, the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung received a report from an official that a woman living in a county had given birth to triplets.

He expressed great satisfaction, saying that a multiple birth had long been regarded as a harbinger of national prosperity to come.

Then he said that it was necessary to take prompt measures to bring the triplets up well and look after their mother, reiterating the need to assign a doctor and a nurse to the triplets and their mother to take responsible care of their health.

Then he added: Their family’s living and housing conditions should be inquired about to take necessary measures. Nutritious foods, clothes and quilts for their upbringing should be supplied to them so as to bring them up to be healthy. In the future, when triplets are born, the state should take particular responsibility for and care of them and their mothers.

The triplets were blessed from the moment they were born after the country’s liberation.
