Seminar Held to Mark World Population Day

A seminar took place at the Grand People’s Study House in Pyongyang on July 13, 2026 to mark World Population Day under the theme of “Realizing the hopes and aspiration of young people – today and for the future”

It was attended by those from different units. Made public were several data such as “The global crisis of declining birthrate and hopes and aspirations of young people” and “The state measure in the DPRK to encourage birth and its implementation,” to be followed by exchange of opinions.

Through the seminar, the participants became more aware of the risks of declining birthrate in different countries, and reached a consensus that importance should be given to the position and role of young people in solving population problems and relevant actions be intensified.
