Gliacyte Artemisia messerschmiditiana Injection

Researchers at the medical biology institute under the Academy of Medical Sciences developed a highly efficacious medicine for hepatic diseases.

The gliacyte Artemisia messerschmidtiana injection developed by Kim Sung Chol, Kwon Jong Hyok, Kang Son Yong and Ri Kyong Sun, researchers at the institute, through a three-year research and long clinical trials is an intravenous injection in combination with bioactive substances and Koryo medicinal materials that are good for the treatment of hepatic disorders.

The injection not only prevents destruction of hepatic cells in several toxic liver disorders, but also promotes cell regeneration, lowering high enzyme unit and stabilizing the blood serum colloid. Together with this, it has been proved in the clinical practice that the essential oil of Artemisia messerschmidtiana promotes biliary secretion and thus helps treat indigestion caused by chronic hepatitis and other hepatic dysfunction.

The injection, registered as a patent of the DPRK, is now widely used in hospitals across the country, giving hope to patients with hepatic diseases.
