By Actively Applying Koryo Therapies

Medical workers of the neurology department of Pyongyang Municipal General Hospital No. 2 are actively exploring and introducing Koryo therapies.

For several years, the department has pushed ahead with the researches to improve the effect of treatment by combining Koryo medicine with new medicine.

Kuk Myong Il, department chief, and Ryu Jun Sik, Jon Un Gyong, Kim Yong A and other doctors actively applied acupuncture, cupping and massaging that proved effective in clinical practice to the treatment of various diseases including peripheral nervous system diseases, and at the same time made great efforts to study new therapeutic devices.

In the course of this, they have developed a device for treating autonomic dystrophy, a magnetic field treatment device, etc., which have proved effective in clinical practice as they decrease the amount of medicines used and raise the treatment efficiency far more than before.

The medical appliances made by the department were highly appreciated at national sci-tech presentation and exhibition in the field of anti-epidemic and public health-2022 and other similar events.
