New Medical Apparatus for Women Developed

The Koryo Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department of Pyongyang Maternity Hospital is achieving successes in the treatment of chronic gynaecopathy by using the modulated wave medicine penetration and impulse acupuncture unit.

The apparatus is an electronic medical device which increases the rate of medicine penetration by using modulated waves and reduces the amount of medicines, shortens the treatment time and improves the treatment efficiency by stimulating acupuncture points with electric pulses.

This device has proved effective in clinical practice as it combines modulated waves with a fast penetration and a high effect of resisting inflammation, alleviating pain, improving blood circulation and enhancing the functions of nerves and muscles, impulse needle stimulation and traditional Koryo medicines good for killing pain and promoting blood circulation.

It was developed by Doctor and Associate Professor Pak Chang Sok, section chief of the Koryo Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department.

Seeing some women who had received treatment for chronic gynaecological diseases, including adenomyosis, eventually having a hysterectomy, he made up his mind to develop an apparatus which produces no side effects but helps improve the effect of treatment and protect the organ.

Busy as he was with routine treatment, he developed such an apparatus in contact with specialized research institutes and fully tested it clinically. He won a certificate of introduction of sci-tech hits of national significance for the apparatus.

Many women have benefited from it.
