Workers Should Be Treasured
One day in August 1968, the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il visited the then Hungnam Fertilizer Factory.
He stood for a long time in front of a gas producer which was releasing high heat.
Saying that workers should be valued and treasured, he told the officials that they should make the work easier and safer so that all the workers could work in good health, free from heat-affected and difficult labour.
Seeing dust coming out of the drying furnace, he instructed that measures should be taken to capture the dust.
That day he, saying that he should visit wherever the workers were working, went round various places of the production site and took measures to improve the working conditions.
Afterwards, the factory pushed ahead with the undertaking to improve its industrial hygienic environment.
